Travel Awards for International Student Members

This award will provide up to $500 for student members attending either the joint Evolution meetings or SSB Standalone meetings to defray the costs of travel. Only applicants who are traveling to a different continent from where they reside to attend the meeting are eligible for the award. We will provide 10 awards each year, with preference given to students who will be presenting research at the meeting. These funds will be given as reimbursements for travel expenses.

The Awards Committee will verify the applicants’ student status and funding justification. Then, ten awardees will be selected from the pool of eligible applicants. The Awards Committee will be sure to consider a set of awardees that is diverse in terms nationality, race, gender identity, and research area.
